We had forgotten that indescribable feeling you get when you check in at your hotel where you have a reservation, hand your credit card to the clerk and say "reservation for Art and Dianne Reardon", only to have the clerk respond, "could the reservation be under another name?", show the clerk the confirmation number, only to be told "this reservation is for June 9th". Long story short, we got a room and are certain the hotel screwed up our reservation. We slept well in spite of being right next to the airport (if our room window opened we could practically spit on the Southwest terminal). The sound proofing in our room is excellent so we heard no plane noise at all during the night. We plan to leave for Provincetown within the hour. According to Google Maps, we should arrive there in about 2 1/4 hours. If you do not hear from us by midnight California time please round up a search party for us. Tonight we have a reservation at a highly recommended restaurant in Provincetown and have a reservation at another highly recommended restaurant tomorrow night. We look forward to this adventure.
We both sighed when entering main part of Provincetown. Just what we wanted. Wandering around by the sea is perfect. Wait. 1000's of others are here too.
